Air Fryer Peaches

iamwinfred
This air fryer peaches recipe turns ordinary fruit into a warm, caramelized dessert in under twenty minutes, no oven required. The air fryer caramelizes the natural sugars in the peaches while keeping the inside soft and juicy, creating that grilled peach flavor without ever turning on the stove. Equipment

  • Digital air fryer with basket Large enough to fit four peach halves without crowding
  • Perforated Air Fryer Parchment Liners Optional but recommended for easy cleanup
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Silicone pastry brush
  • Silicone-tipped kitchen tongs
  • Small Spoon or Paring Knife For removing pits

Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe peaches halved and pitted, ripe but still slightly firm
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • salt pinch
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans for topping

For Serving

  • vanilla ice cream for serving
  • 2 tablespoons salted caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  • Wash peaches and pat dry. Slice each in half from top to bottom, twist to separate, and remove the pit with a small spoon or paring knife.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir into a smooth paste.
  • Line the air fryer basket with a perforated parchment liner. Arrange peach halves cut side up in a single layer, leaving space between each.
  • Spread the cinnamon butter mixture evenly over the cut surface of each peach half, pooling slightly in the center where the pit was.
  • Air fry at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes until topping is bubbling and lightly browned and peaches are fork tender but still holding shape.
  • During the last 2 minutes, sprinkle chopped pecans over the peaches to toast lightly. Carefully transfer to a serving plate with silicone tongs.
  • Top each warm peach half with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with salted caramel sauce, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Choose peaches that give slightly to gentle pressure but are not soft or bruised for the best texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket — air needs to circulate around each half for proper caramelization.
  • Check for doneness a minute or two early the first time you make this, since air fryer models vary.
  • Pat the peaches dry before adding the topping so the butter mixture sticks properly.
  • Use a liner or light spray of oil in the basket to prevent sticking.
  • Let the peaches rest for a minute or two after cooking — the topping thickens slightly as it cools.
  • Swap pecans for chopped walnuts, sliced almonds, or even granola in the last minute of cooking.
  • Store cooled peaches in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2-3 minutes.
  • Fresh peaches work best — frozen or canned release too much liquid and turn mushy.
