Air Fryer Pizza Rolls Recipe

Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

iamwinfred
This Air Fryer Pizza Rolls recipe delivers golden, crispy bites on the outside with a molten, cheesy pizza filling on the inside that practically bursts the second you take a bite. They take less than 15 minutes from freezer to table, and the air fryer gives them that perfect crunch you just can't get from a microwave. The best part? You only need one bag of frozen pizza rolls, a quick spray of cooking oil, and your favorite dipping sauce. No prep, no mess, no waiting.

Equipment

  • Air fryer Any size works; a 5.8 qt or larger is great for a full bag
  • Tongs For flipping and removing pizza rolls safely
  • Small dipping bowls For marinara or ranch
  • Cooking spray or kitchen oil sprayer EVO-style sprayer recommended to avoid propellants that damage non-stick coating
  • Plate lined with paper towel Optional, for resting after cooking

Ingredients

  • 15 oz frozen pizza rolls about 24 rolls total, any brand works
  • cooking spray or oil in a sprayer; light mist only
  • marinara sauce for dipping
  • ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Arrange frozen pizza rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket with space between each roll.
  • Lightly mist the tops of the pizza rolls with cooking spray or a thin layer of oil.
  • Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 8 minutes total. At the 4-minute mark, flip each roll with tongs.
  • Let pizza rolls rest for 2 minutes before serving to allow filling to cool slightly.
  • Serve immediately with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Don't thaw the rolls first – cook them straight from frozen. Thawing can cause the dough to get soft and the filling to leak out before it even hits the air fryer.
  • Single layer only – resist the urge to pile them up. Overlapping rolls steam instead of crisp, and you'll end up with uneven textures.
  • Flip at the halfway mark – this small step makes a big difference. Both sides of the roll end up evenly golden instead of one side being crispier than the other.
  • Watch your air fryer – all air fryers cook slightly differently. The first batch, check on the rolls at 6 minutes so you can adjust the timing to fit your machine.
  • Let them rest – the filling is molten hot straight from the basket. Give it at least 2 minutes before eating.
  • Don't overcrowd – if you're making a big batch, cook in rounds. The wait is worth it for properly crispy rolls.
  • Spicy variation – after cooking, dust the rolls with a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Garlic butter finish – toss the hot rolls in a small bowl with melted butter and garlic powder right after they come out of the air fryer.
  • Storage – store cooled leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
  • Avoid microwave for reheating – microwaving cooked pizza rolls makes the dough soft and chewy, which is the opposite of what you want.
