Glass beverage pitcher with infuser (optional) Allows you to add fresh cranberries and rosemary directly into the pitcher
Ingredients
2cupscranberry juice480ml; 100% juice, not cocktail — unsweetened preferred
2cupssparkling water480ml; or club soda — add just before serving
1/4cupfresh lime juice60ml; about 2–3 limes
2tablespoonshoneyor simple syrup; adjust to taste
ice cubes
For Garnish
fresh cranberries3–4 per glass; washed and patted dry
fresh rosemary sprigs1 small sprig per glass
lime slicesthin rounds for rim or float
Instructions
Roll each lime firmly on the countertop to release more juice, then cut in half and juice them. Measure out 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice and remove any seeds.
Pour the cranberry juice, lime juice, and honey into a large pitcher. Stir vigorously for about 30 seconds until the honey fully dissolves, then taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
Just before serving, slowly pour in the sparkling water and stir gently once or twice to combine without losing carbonation.
Fill glasses three-quarters full with ice, pour in the spritzer, then garnish each glass with 3–4 fresh cranberries, a rosemary sprig, and a lime slice on the rim. Serve immediately.
Notes
Add sparkling water only right before serving to preserve maximum fizz.
Use chilled cranberry juice so you don't need as much ice, which can dilute the drink.
If using cranberry cocktail instead of 100% juice, reduce or omit the honey since cocktail is already sweetened.
If honey clumps in cold liquid, warm the cranberry juice slightly to room temperature before mixing, or make a simple syrup (equal parts honey and warm water) instead.
The cranberry-lime base (without sparkling water) can be made up to 3 days ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
Freeze cranberries into ice cubes for stunning presentation that won't water down your drink.
For a spicy twist, stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger. For deeper flavor, add 1/2 cup pomegranate juice.
To make this an alcoholic cocktail, replace 1 cup of the sparkling water with vodka, gin, or champagne.
Muddle a few fresh cranberries in the bottom of each glass before adding ice for extra fruit flavor intensity.
Simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 month for quick future batches.
